Do you like Zumba? But can’t get those hips to cooperate? Maybe you want an alternative dance style that is just like Zumba with a Hip Hop twist.
Leggwork Production’s head instructor Daddy Long Leggs is offering Breakdance style Aerobics he dubs “Break-Aerobics”. If you are like many people, you are probably are awed by the incredible physicality of dances like breaking, but it may be a lot for you to handle, or maybe you feel you could never learn it. Well Break-Aerobics is a way to enjoy the subtle approaches to the actual dance and to have fun dibbling and dabbling in it, without actually having to learn the dance full on. Don’t worry there won’t be any headpins or windmills, none the less we will be dancing and grooving. You will visit many of the basic foundational steps that are ever bit “Breakin” however with an aerobic style twist. The best part is that it is completely healthy for your body, and mind, a Complete Cardio workout, Muscle strengthening and toning with loads of endurance awakening benefits. This dance is to already the ultimate body manifestation of pushing the human body to its physical boundaries with fast results. So imagine an aerobic workout intermarried with this form of dance style. Daddy Long Leggs will take you on a journey mostly exploring the top styles like rocking, flowing, stepping and grooving, dips and dives, to exciting high energy music. You ’re never too old or young.
We will even take you on the floor with some of the most basic less demanding steps such as knee sweeps, foot shuffles, drops and the most basic easy to do footwork. Break-Aerobics is done to fast pace music of many genres, including 70s funk, soul, disco, R&B, New & Classic Hip Hop, disco, soul and classic electronic dance music, and is the fasted and most exciting way to get your body looking great, learn a little bit of dance and have fun. We are now available to conduct workshops at all fitness centers and community centers with space and a curriculum time for Leggs to come in and setup classes wherever. A Decent member size that will like to take these classes is needed (promotion can be worked out to enroll your members). Classes are generally ran for 45 minutes (Including explanations, overviews, stretch and cool down), but can be tailored to your needs.
